Monsoon Rains to Return to Karachi, Rain Expected Across Pakistan: PMD

KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) has forecast the third spell of monsoon rains to begin in Karachi from tomorrow, bringing light to moderate showers to the port city.

According to the Met Office, the city will experience cloudy and humid weather throughout the day, with the likelihood of drizzle during nighttime hours. The temperature is expected to rise to 35°C, while current humidity levels stand at 69 percent. Southwesterly winds are blowing at a speed of 11 kilometers per hour.

Rain and Thunderstorms Expected Nationwide

Elsewhere in the country, the PMD has predicted intermittent rain, wind, and thundershowers in various regions, including Kashmir, Islamabad, the Pothohar region, northeast Punjab, upper Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, and Gilgit-Baltistan over the next 12 hours. Scattered heavy to very heavy rainfall is also likely during this period.

Central and southern Punjab, along with northeast and southern Balochistan, are expected to witness isolated rain, wind, and thunderstorms.
