Humid Weather and Light Rain Expected in Karachi
KARACHI – The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) says that Karachi will have hot and humid weather over the next few days. Clouds will stay over the city, and drizzle is expected in the early morning and at night.
Winds from the southwest are blowing at a speed of 15 km/h. The humidity level is high at 74%, and the temperature will likely stay between 32°C and 34°C during the day.
More Rain Expected in Other Parts of Pakistan
The PMD has also predicted a new spell of monsoon rain starting August 4 (today) in many parts of the country.
Right now, weak monsoon winds are reaching the upper and central areas, but they will become stronger by August 4. A westerly weather system will also get stronger by August 5, which may bring more rain.
From August 4 to 7, areas like Kashmir and Gilgit-Baltistan are expected to get scattered rain, with some heavy showers in places like Muzaffarabad, Rawalakot, Neelum Valley, Diamir, Skardu, and Gilgit. These heavy rains may cause flash floods and landslides, especially in the mountains.
