Power Outages Hit Karachi After Rainfall
Electricity has been cut off in several areas of Karachi after light rain hit the city. Power is currently out in Gulistan-e-Johar, Scheme 33, Gulshan-e-Muammar, and parts of Korangi, Bin Qasim, and Orangi Town. Other affected areas include Defence Phase VI, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, Baldia Town, and Surjani Town.
K-Electric said that over 340 power feeders stopped working due to the rain, causing major power disruptions.
Rain in Many Parts of Karachi
On Thursday night, different parts of Karachi received light to heavy rain. Areas like Malir, Gulshan-e-Hadid, Memon Goth, Shah Latif Town, Razzaqabad, Bhens Colony, and Saddar had rain. Nearby areas like Steel Town, Pipri, Port Qasim, and Ghaffar Phatak also saw showers.
Rain also fell in Gulistan-e-Johar, Gulshan-e-Iqbal, and along University Road. Other places that received rain include Tariq Road, Bahadurabad, Hasan Square, P.I.B., Jail Road, Safura, Saadi Town, Gulzar-e-Hijri, Scheme 33, Incholi, Gulberg, and Garden.
