Karachi Prepares for Heavy Traffic Ahead of National Stadium Event

Karachi traffic authorities have announced special arrangements for vehicles attending the upcoming event at the National Stadium. According to the city’s traffic police, only vehicles displaying special stickers will be permitted entry through Gate No. 1 and Gate No. 11.

Event-goers can park at the Expo Centre and China Ground, where shuttle services will transport them directly to the stadium.

Traffic police have cautioned motorists about expected heavy traffic on National Stadium Road and Sir Shah Suleman Road, advising the public to use alternative routes to avoid delays. Buses, minibuses, and other commercial vehicles will be rerouted, and all heavy traffic will be restricted from entering the area.

Authorities have also urged citizens not to park cars or motorcycles on service roads and to cooperate with law enforcement to ensure smooth traffic flow during the event.

Marka-e-Haq: Pakistan Commemorates Military Operation Against India

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has announced a special “Shuhada Package” for the martyrs of Marka-e-Haq, a four-day military operation between Pakistan and India that took place from May 7–10, 2025.

Marka-e-Haq, meaning “Battle for Justice” or “Righteous Campaign,” is also referred to as Operation Bunyanum Marsoos. The conflict began after India launched strikes on Pakistan on the night of May 6–7, reportedly targeting civilians in response to a Pahalgam false-flag operation on April 22. The Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reported that 40 civilians, including women and children, were killed, with many others injured.

In retaliation, Pakistan’s Armed Forces launched Marka-e-Haq to:

Counter Indian aggression and protect national sovereignty

Restore strategic balance and deter further escalation

Demonstrate national unity and resilience

In recognition of the operation, Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif declared May 10 as Marka-e-Haq Day, an annual observance honoring the courage of Pakistan’s armed forces and commemorating the achievements of Operation Bunyanum Marsoos.
