Security forces kill two terrorists, injure 10 in North Waziristan

The military’s media wing on Thursday said that security forces killed two terrorists; injured 10 during an intense exchange of fire night in North Waziristan.

The incident in Mirali, North Waziristan took the life of a soldier, Naik Yaseen, 34; who was a resident of Malakand, the Inter-Services Public Relations said.

The ISPR said that after the terrorists opened fire at a security convoy, seven soldiers injured.

Security forces gun down 10 terrorists in North Waziristan

The development comes two days after security forces had gunned down 10 terrorists; during an intense exchange of fire in Balochistan’s Awaran district, the ISPR had said.

The ISPR, in a statement, said that an intelligence-based operation conducted in Awaran’s Gwargo led them to the terrorists who also involved in the firing incident that had resulted in Lance Naik’s martyrdom on December 20.

According to the statement, as soon as security forces cordoned off the area, the terrorists opened fire at the forces and attempted to flee.

Earlier, an IED exploded at a security check post on Boya to Miranshah Road in North Waziristan, killing one soldier.

The military media wing stated that security forces have cordoned off the area for a clearance operation.

As per the statement issued by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) in the North Waziristan; the three martyred soldiers lost their lives after terrorists fired at security forces’ blocking position during the search operation.

The martyred soldiers identified as Subedar Nadeem, Sepoy Saleem, and Lance Naik Musawar. On the other hand, four of the Pakistani soldiers were also received injuries during the operation.

ISPR issued a statement which said that the terrorists attacked the security forces at 5 kilometers south-east of Ghariom near North Waziristan District and South Waziristan District boundary.
