Gandapur Launches Digital App for Flood Compensation in KP
PESHAWAR – Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan Gandapur on Tuesday inaugurated the Digital Disaster Compensation Management app, a new system developed by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Information Technology Board and linked with the government’s central service platform “Dastak.”
The app allows flood-affected families to file claims online by uploading details of property losses. Payments will be transferred directly to beneficiaries after verification, with geo-tagging technology being used to confirm damages and block fake claims. The initiative aims to make the process fully paperless and cashless.
A special dashboard will also keep the Chief Minister, Chief Secretary, and senior officials updated with real-time data on damages and compensation disbursements.
Calling the launch a “major step” toward transparency, Gandapur lauded the IT Board for creating the system in record time. “This app will not only speed up relief efforts but also ensure complete fairness in payments,” he said.
