According to the police, the attackers used a sniper rifle for the assault, and the terrorists fled following retaliatory gunfire late at night.
The funeral prayers for the martyred were held with full state honor at the Police Lines in Peshawar with the ceremonial police squad paying respects to the deceased.
The funeral was attended by CCPO Qasim Ali, SSPs, and other police officials.
Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) Governor Faisal Karim Kundi condemned the terrorist attack and expressed condolences over the police officer’s martyrdom. The Governor prayed for the elevation of the martyr’s status and patience for his family.
