Liam Cunningham Joins Humanitarian Mission to Gaza, Honors Life of Young Girl Killed in Conflict

Irish actor Liam Cunningham, best known for his role in Game of Thrones, has joined an international flotilla that set sail from Barcelona, Spain, on Sunday to deliver humanitarian aid to Gaza.

Before the journey began, Cunningham spoke emotionally about a young girl, Fatima, who was killed by Israeli forces. He shared a photo of the child and described her as “absolutely gorgeous,” noting her lovely singing voice.

“I want you to hear a few seconds of her singing,” he said, playing an audio recording of Fatima performing a song. Fighting back tears, Cunningham revealed that the song had been arranged by the girl for her own funeral, planned before her tragic death.

“She wants that song sung in the event of her death,” Cunningham said. “What sort of world have we slid into? What kind of human hole have we found ourselves in when children, angels like her at five or six years old, are making their own funeral arrangements?”

The actor confirmed that Fatima was killed days before the flotilla departed for Gaza. “She was killed by the Israelis. Somebody is going to be singing that song over her corpse,” Cunningham stated.

Cunningham also criticized Western governments for failing to address the ongoing suffering of Palestinians facing continuous bombardment. “The fact that this flotilla is happening highlights the world’s failure to uphold international and human law. It is a shameful, shameful period in history,” he said.
