An Oregon man opens an abandoned storage unit

A 37-year-old man in Oregon purchased an abandoned storage container at an auction for $410; however, he was unaware that he was purchasing treasure for under $100.

According to South West News Service, Wade Venture had previously purchased 400–500 storage units, but this time, they were stocked with items that were difficult for consumers to obtain.

According to the station, the Portland homeowner said, “You usually find household stuff or trash, so it’s rare to find a unit like that in particular.”

He informed the organization that while he usually donates items he discovers inside of apartments, he might not be willing to contribute designer clothing valued at $70,000 this time.

“People think I’ve been doing this so long I’ve seen everything, but I’ve never found a unit like this before.”

He found almost 400 pairs of shoes, many still with tags on, along with $8,000 worth of fur jackets and other stuff when investigating the units, according to the New York Post. The shoes included names like Coach and Gucci.

Venture states that often he finds 30% new and 70% old items, but this time, everything was brand-new. He also notes that the prior owner was a specific customer.

“She wasn’t just buying run-of-the-mill stuff; she was shopping at Macy’s and JCPenney.”
