No officer or doctor wears a uniform or gown outside of the office: Hazim Bangwar responds to criticism

Hazim Bangwar responds to criticism

Hazim Bangwar is in the spotlight once more after making an unusual and stylish appearance at a recent event, which prompted a contentious debate. Former Science and Technology Minister Fawad Chaudhry cited the Indian Civil Service’s history when glimpses of his appearance went viral, sparking a discussion over professionalism and meritocracy in Pakistan’s bureaucracy.

“The Indian Civil Service was the first merit-based bureaucracy of the modern world. The authors of the Travelyn report could not have dreamed up the decline we are witnessing in the Pakistani Civil Service,” Fawad stated on X (previously Twitter).Be considerate of the office you are in.”

However, actor Yasir Hussain received nothing but compliments on the appearance. He stated, “All awards on one side, Hazim Bangwar on one side,” and included an emoji to show his admiration and fascination. Hazim has now responded to the criticism leveled at him on Instagram.

Hazim addressed the incident with a statement, highlighting the difficulties he faces as a public figure and expressing his want to live a private life free from unrelenting attention and criticism. In addition, he reiterated his dedication to serve the public and maintained his rights to privacy and free speech.

“Professionally, I’ve carried my office with respect and dignity and always dressed appropriately,” he remarked, making his stance clear. I suppose I should wear my gown and uniform outside of my office, even if no doctor or police officer does. My sole goal is to continue serving the public as I have, and I hope to do so peacefully.”

As the conversation progresses, it will be interesting to observe how Hazim’s response affects the way Pakistan’s bureaucracy views professionalism and individuality, as well as whether it inspires more thoughtful consideration of the nation’s expectations of public personalities.
