Lil Nas X Arrested in Los Angeles, Pleads Not Guilty to Charges
Los Angeles – American rapper Lil Nas X, 26, was arrested earlier this week following a bizarre incident on Ventura Boulevard. According to reports, the “Old Town Road” star allegedly charged at a police officer who had responded to a call about a “nude man walking in the street.”
The rapper was briefly hospitalized for a suspected drug overdose before being taken into custody. He now faces multiple charges, including three counts of battery on a police officer and one count of resisting an executive officer.
If convicted, Lil Nas X could have faced up to five years in prison. However, the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office confirmed that he has pleaded not guilty to all charges. He was released from the Los Angeles County Jail in Van Nuys on Monday.
Lil Nas X is scheduled to return to court on September 15 for a preliminary hearing.
