Lindsay Lohan Talks About Living a Quiet Life in Dubai
DUBAI – Hollywood actor Lindsay Lohan says she is happy living a peaceful life in the United Arab Emirates, away from the paparazzi and media pressure she faced as a child star.
Lohan, who began acting at the age of three and became famous with Disney and movies like Mean Girls, left Hollywood in 2014. She later moved to Dubai and married Kuwaiti businessman Bader Shammas in 2022. The couple welcomed their son, Luai, in 2023.
In a new interview, Lohan shared that her life in Dubai is much more private and safe. “I don’t ever want my family to experience being chased by the paparazzi the way I was,” she said. “It was terrifying. I have PTSD from those moments.”
She added that Dubai’s strict privacy laws help protect her family. “It’s not like that here. It’s safe. It’s fair,” she said.
Lohan also talked about how the internet and social media give celebrities more control today. “Now, people can share their own stories. When I was younger, we didn’t have that,” she explained.
Now 38 and a mother, Lohan says she’s learned to keep her private life separate from her public image. She hopes her son can grow up without the pressure she once faced.
