Lion Confiscated, Owner in Trouble for Illegal Wild Animal

The Wildlife Department has taken away a lion and moved it to a safe wildlife sanctuary.

According to a department spokesperson, a case (FIR) has been filed against the owner, Malik Bahram, son of Malik Nazim. He is being charged under the Wildlife Act and also for attempted murder.

The incident happened at a farmhouse in Johar Town. The lion got out of its cage, jumped over a wall, and attacked people in a nearby street. The injured people were quickly taken to Jinnah Hospital for treatment.

The Wildlife Department said that keeping a lion without a license is a serious crime. It cannot be bailed and can lead to up to 7 years in jail and a fine of Rs 5 million.

They also urged people to report any illegal wild animals or lions in their area by calling Helpline 1107.

YouTuber Rajab Butt Arrested for Lion Cub and Weapons

Earlier, YouTuber Rajab Butt was arrested at his home on Sunday. He was showing off weapons in public and also had a lion cub without a license.

The police and Wildlife Department raided his house in the Chuhng area after reports that he had wild animals illegally and was showing guns in public.

During the raid, they found and took away the lion cub, which Rajab had received as a wedding gift.

Punjab police confirmed that an FIR was registered against Rajab Butt, and he has been taken to a police station for further investigation.
