LPG Price Cut Petrol and Diesel May Rise from July 1

On Monday, OGRA (Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority) announced that the price of LPG (liquefied petroleum gas) has been lowered by Rs 7.43 per kilogram. Now, 1 kg of LPG will cost Rs 240.53.

Because of this change, the price of a household LPG cylinder has also dropped. It is now Rs 2,750.60, down from the earlier price of Rs 2,838.31 — a decrease of Rs 87.71. These new LPG prices will start from Tuesday, July 1, 2025.

However, the prices of petrol and diesel might go up sharply, even though global oil prices have gone down.

LPG Prices Reduced, But Petrol Likely to Get More Expensive in Pakistan

Sources say the price of high-speed diesel might increase by Rs 14.86 per litre, and petrol could go up by Rs 11.43 per litre. These changes would also begin on July 1, 2025.

OGRA is preparing a report on the new fuel prices. The Petroleum Division and the Ministry of Finance will check the report before sending it to Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif for final approval.

Globally, oil prices fell on Monday. This happened because tensions in the Middle East have eased, and there’s a chance that oil-producing countries (OPEC+) might increase supply in August. But experts still worry about how strong global demand will be in the coming months.
