A man who was set on fire by; in-law succumbed to his burns at Lahore’s Mayo Hospital. Stephen was the name of the deceased man; who visited the residence of in-laws in Lahore to reconcile with his wife, Urooj after she went back to her parents following a domestic dispute two weeks ago. However, the verbal fight turned violent between Stephen the man and his in-laws as they poured petrol on him and set him on fire.
Man Critical Condition due to Fire:
In the incident, the man got major burns due to fire and was rushed to Mayo Hospital in critical condition. However, the man died as a result of his burns while being treated in the hospital. At Baghbanpura police station, a charge was filed against his wife, Urooj’s mother, and her uncle for their suspected involvement in the violent incident. A woman had been strangled to death earlier in April.
Lastly, Asif, Asiya, and Sheeraz, Asif’s sister-in-law. Her body had been sent to a mortuary for a post-mortem; to determine the cause of death. Furthermore, the victim’s father stated; that she had been married to Asif for six years. Her husband, sister-in-law, and brother-in-law tortured her on a regular basis. This case was similar to the case reported about the man who was set on fire by in-laws. These news are getting more and more popular as fire incidents are kept increasing day by day.
