Maryam Nawaz, the Senior Vice President and Chief Organiser of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz has asserted that those who conspired against Nawaz Sharif did not escape unscathed. Instead, they received their just consequences from nature.
Maryam, without mentioning Imran Khan’s name, declared during a party event at a local hotel that the individual who plotted against Nawaz Sharif had suffered humiliation and disgrace.
She went on to say that those who repeatedly claimed Nawaz’s political career and the party were finished had themselves been permanently disqualified from politics due to their incompetence.
Maryam emphasized that nature eventually caught up with all such conspirators, leading to their downfall one by one.
Maryam praised Nawaz for facing various crises with resilience, noting his ability to bounce back after setbacks.
In contrast, the PML-N altered its plans for Nawaz’s return home. Now, only central leadership will greet him at the airport, with workers not attending. Instead, Nawaz will be flown by helicopter from the airport to address a party gathering at Minar-i-Pakistan, where both workers and officials will welcome him, according to PML-N sources.
Former Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif announced that his brother and PML-N leader, Nawaz Sharif, will return to Pakistan on October 21. He clarified that the recent Supreme Court decision on the NAB Amendment case doesn’t impact Nawaz’s legal matters.
Shehbaz Sharif’s stance on Nawaz arrival
Shehbaz made these statements after a legal session attended by Nawaz Sharif, Suleman Sharif, and lawyers Azam Nazir Tarar, Amjad Pervez, and Attaullah Tarar.
He emphasized that Nawaz’s cases were unjust and politically motivated, asserting that there was no legal basis for them. He confirmed Nawaz’s return on October 21.
Shehbaz criticized outgoing Chief Justice Umar Atta Bandial, alleging that he made controversial and politically biased decisions favoring Imran Khan. He questioned Bandial’s actions during changes to NAB law by Imran Khan and suggested collusion between Niazi and NAB.
Shehbaz mentioned that a conspiracy brought Khan to power, halting Pakistan’s progress. He expressed confidence that if given a mandate, Nawaz would revitalize Pakistan’s economy to its 2017 levels.
Regarding Raja Riaz’s entry into PML-N, Shehbaz welcomed him and hoped it would strengthen the party.
Raja Riaz expressed gratitude to Nawaz and Shehbaz and pledged to play his part.
Azam Nazir Tarar stated that Nawaz would face his cases transparently upon his return and wouldn’t evade justice.
Amjad Pervez, who won Maryam Nawaz’s Avenfield case, emphasized that these cases lacked evidence and were politically motivated.
Attaullah Tarar, PML-N Deputy Secretary General, asserted that Nawaz’s return date remains unchanged, unaffected by the recent Supreme Court decision on accountability laws.
