LAHORE – The Punjab Provincial Disaster Management Authority (PDMA) has reported that water levels in most rivers across Punjab remain within normal range, except at Panjnad, where a medium-level flood has been recorded.

According to official data, the Indus River is flowing at normal levels, with 196,000 cusecs at Tarbela, 169,000 cusecs at Kalabagh, 178,000 cusecs at Chashma, and 161,000 cusecs at Taunsa. The Chenab River is also stable, registering 56,000 cusecs at Marala, 68,000 cusecs at Khanki, 75,000 cusecs at Qadirabad, and 80,000 cusecs at Trimmu.

However, at Panjnad, the flow has surged to 234,000 cusecs, leading to a medium-level flood. PDMA officials said monitoring teams are on alert in the area to deal with any sudden changes in water levels.

Meanwhile, in Sindh, water officials have reported high flood conditions in the Indus River at Sukkur and Guddu barrages, while a low flood has been observed at Kotri Barrage.

At Guddu Barrage, the inflow was recorded at 624,094 cusecs, with an outflow of 594,936 cusecs. Officials said the water level is gradually receding at Guddu, but is rising at Sukkur Barrage.
