Movie becomes first Pakistani production to release in Chinese mainland cinemas in over three decades.
Hamza Ali Abbasi has shared a new trailer of his 2018 movie to celebrate the opportunity.
‘Parwaz hai junoon’ movie is one of the top five highest grossing films of the country; whereas its release in China is a landmark achievement; however it will open doors for all local films to the world’s largest cinema market.

So, it is an historical development for Pakistani films?
In the movie, the very talented Hamza Ali Abbasi, Hania Amir and Ahad Raza Mir are in leading roles.
Whereas Momina Duriad produced this movie under the banner of Momina and Duraid Films and; Hum Films distributed this.
However we all saw this move in 2018 at Eid-ul-Azha amid its release.
It also became the highest international box office grosser at the time.
Why this movie is releasing in China after so long?
So, to celebrate the 70th anniversary of establishment of diplomatic relations between both countries.
Since it’s a war-combat romantic movie, which was perfect for this occasion.

Whereas this is the first movie to release commercially in cinemas across mainland China.
According to a statement by the Chinese embassy; the Ahad Raza Mir, Hamza Ali Abbasi and Hania Amir starrer well be going to China soon.
As one of the 16 local-to-local partnerships; under the Sino-Pak local cooperation, an initiative to strengthen the foundation of friendship.
The agreement to bring the film to the mainland was signed in April 2019; at a China-Pakistan economic and trade cooperation forum; during the second Belt and Road Forum for International Cooperation, as quoted by Global Times.
