Ballerina, the John Wick spinoff from Lionsgate starring Ana de Armas as Rooney, will now debut on June 6, 2025.
Following Chad Stahelski’s recent agreement with Lionsgate to direct the project, Variety announced on Wednesday that Ballerina, which was originally planned to premiere on June 7, 2024, has been rescheduled for the summer of the following year.
To please fans of the franchise even more, the John Wick creator will intensify the action sequences in the Thunder Road film, which is produced by Basil Iwanyk and Erica Lee.
The Crow is preparing to launch into theaters on June 7, 2024, taking precedence over the release of Ballerina in order to avoid leaving the slot unoccupied.
The cast of Ballerina now includes de Armas in addition to Gabriel Byrne, Anjelica Huston, Lance Reddick, Norman Reedus, and others.
In the meanwhile, Laura Birn, Jordan Bolger, Danny Huston, and Sami Bouajila will feature in Rupert Sanders’ contemporary adaptation of The Crow.
The Crow, written by Will Schneider and Zach Baylin and directed by Sanders, will soon be available in theaters.
