Karachi Youth Mustafa Amir Allegedly Kidnapped and Murdered by Friends

KARACHI — Mustafa Amir, a young resident of Karachi, was reportedly kidnapped and murdered by his friends in the city’s Defence Housing Authority (DHA) on January 6.

Authorities have presented a forensic report from the devices of the prime accused, Armaghan, including his laptop, mobile phone, USB drives, and CDs, as evidence in court. The report reportedly contains details related to the murder, alleged money laundering, and an illegal call centre.

Armaghan and his alleged accomplice, Shiraz, have been formally indicted in connection with Mustafa Amir’s kidnapping and murder. The police have named more than 40 witnesses against the accused, with two eyewitnesses reportedly identifying both suspects.

According to the charge sheet, Armaghan lured Mustafa to his home, where he was subjected to severe torture. The suspects then allegedly transported him to Balochistan and set him on fire inside a car.

The case has drawn significant public attention, particularly as investigators have uncovered further details about Armaghan’s business dealings, digital currency accounts, and other activities linked to the crime.
