NADRA Upgrades Services for Overseas Pakistanis at Peshawar Airport
Peshawar – The National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA) has introduced an upgraded service desk for overseas Pakistanis at Peshawar’s international terminal, aimed at making identity-related services faster and more convenient for travellers.
The new facility, located within the briefing area of the terminal, is equipped with improved digital services through the Pak-ID mobile application. Officials say the move will help resolve users’ issues with greater ease and efficiency.
According to NADRA’s Regional Director General for Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, the upgraded desk will provide a full range of services, including issuance and renewal of National Identity Cards for Overseas Pakistanis (NICOP), Family Registration Certificates (FRC), and Pakistan Origin Cards (POC). These are the same services usually available at NADRA’s main offices, ensuring reliability for travellers on the go.
The initiative is part of broader efforts by the federal government to support overseas Pakistanis. Representatives from 13 different departments have already been deployed at airport facilitation desks nationwide to assist expatriates and international visitors.
The new desk at Peshawar Airport is expected to reduce waiting times and improve service delivery, particularly for senior citizens, disabled individuals, and those in need of urgent assistance.
Earlier, NADRA also launched an online system for birth and death registration, eliminating the need for citizens to visit union councils. Through the Pak-ID mobile application, people can now submit registration details directly to relevant councils from home—another step towards the government’s vision of a “Digital Pakistan.”
