Adam Moran, known as the greatest food eater in Britain, shocked the employees of a well-known pub when he finished their enormous £85 pie in less than 28 minutes, according to Express UK.
Earlier this year, Moran went to the Black Friar pub in Salford to accept the challenge for his Beard Meats Food YouTube channel.
One pie is meant to be shared by four people, but as Moran puts it, “if you can finish one solo in one sitting you get your drinks paid for the entire evening, but you don’t get it free.”
The cook estimated that Moran ate roughly “three kilos” of pie.
As Moran finished the challenge in 28 minutes and 36 seconds, the patrons in the pub overwhelmed him with congratulations and cheers.
A bystander exclaimed, “That is incredible! Never before have I saw someone eat like that! A wonderful accomplishment that brightened my day!
Mr. Moran declared the pie to be “delicious” and “really good” after it was finished, and then the gathering broke out into celebration.
The pub where Mr. Moran finished his challenge has a fascinating history of its own. The current owners claim that after it was constructed in 1886, it was “derelict” for 15 years.
