The well-known Pakistani YouTuber Yasir Shami is allegedly the target of an arrest order in the case of the late Dr. Aamir Liaquat Hussain’s video leak. Following Dr. Bushra Iqbal, the politician-turned-TV personality, on social media, the news broke.
In an attempt to shed light on the continuing legal drama surrounding Yasir and Aamir’s third wife, Dania Shah, Bushra posted photocopies of the non-bailable arrest warrants on her Instagram account.
“The Court of Judicial Magistrate Karachi has issued a non-bailable warrant of arrest against the accused and absconder YouTuber Yasir Shami in Aamir Liaquat (late) cybercrime obscene video leak case,” Bushra wrote in a lengthy caption that highlighted the details of the arrest warrant.
According to Dania, the late TV personality’s wife, and Yasir are the two accused parties in this case. “Awaiting Yasir Shami’s arrest by the FIA and his court appearance in order to carry out the court’s directions. Bushra said, “Insha’Allah, Aamir Liaquat will get justice soon.”
Yasir turned himself in to the Karachi City Courts on Thursday. Notwithstanding grave accusations concerning the distribution of viral videos starring the deceased Dr. Aamir, the YouTuber was released on bond provided he provided a surety bond of Rs. 2.5 million. Nonetheless, the court mandated that he appear before the Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) in order to give a statement about the matter.
This has happened after Yasir was repeatedly absent from sessions, leading to the issuance of several summonses. His attorneys warned of possible arrest warrants for his continuous non-appearance and emphasized the significance of his involvement in furthering the case.
Several people have been embroiled in the legal dispute over the viral recordings, including Dania, Aamir’s third wife, who is presently free on bond. Dania’s attorney, Liaqat Gabol, emphasized Yasir’s pivotal role in the case’s development and blamed him for any delays.
