According to China’s chief economic planner, the country has begun updating its list of industries that welcome foreign investment. This was announced on Wednesday.
According to Hua Zhong, a commission official, the National Development and Reform Commission would conduct field research and hold seminars in order to have broad connection with international chambers of commerce and firms during the revision process.
Hua stated that although the revision will keep the manufacturing sector as a top priority for drawing in foreign investment, China will also increase support for modern services, advanced manufacturing, energy conservation, advanced technology, and environmental protection in order to draw in more foreign investment in these areas.
According to Hua, the modification would be customized based on the industrial foundations and local resources in the central and western areas to entice international corporations to establish operations there.
