Doctors at a private hospital pronounced former first lady Bushra Bibi to be in excellent health following a thorough medical assessment conducted under the supervision of Imran Khan’s family physician, the founder of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI).
Bushra Bibi spent six hours receiving diagnostic procedures, including an endoscopy, at a private hospital in Islamabad.
The former first lady did not give a blood sample or consent to a blood test, according to sources.
According to hospital sources, Bushra Bibi also had ECHO, ECG, and ultrasound tests performed. Dr. Asim Yousuf, Imran Khan’s physician, was present for the examination.
The sources claim that the physicians cleared the former first lady’s medical records. Bushra Bibi, according to the medical officials, was suffering from a minor stomach ailment.
The sources said that the final report, as well as the reports sent to Dr. Asim, the jail superintendent, and the Pakistan Institute of Medical Sciences (PIMS), will address Bushra Bibi’s refusal to give a blood sample.
It should be recalled that Bushra Bibi’s complete medical examination at any private facility within two days was mandated by the accountability court yesterday.
Bushra Bibi filed a motion with the Islamabad High Court (IHC) on April 15, asking the court to set up a medical examination and testing at Shaukat Khanum facility or any private facility of her choice to look into the possibility that she was given contaminated or poisoned food.
Bushra Bibi stated in her appeal that she thought the poisoned meals she was given were the reason behind her heartburn and mouth and throat pain. Bibi added that in the Banigala sub-jail, she was also tortured psychologically.
Furthermore, the Adiala Jail inmate Imran Khan went so far as to claim that meals served to Bushra Bibi had been tainted with toilet cleanser.
Khan informed Judge Nasir Javed Rana during the £190 million National Crime Agency (NCA) case hearing at the Adiala Jail that further walls had been placed in the courtroom, giving the space an air of a closed court.
The court postponed the hearing for one hour and ordered the jail management to remove the extra obstacles right now. The jail management quickly removed the extra obstacles after complying with the directive.
