On February 6, Imran and Qureshi were indicted in the cases. When the two appeared in court, the former prime minister told the judge that he had been forcibly detained on May 9 from the Islamabad High Court (IHC) grounds.
Following his detention in connection with a corruption case, Imran was charged in several charges pertaining to the violence that broke out on May 9 across the nation. The claims made in the first information reports (FIRs) of the instances had been refuted by him.
