Indian-born Joining Pakistan’s football team is a British coach

The Pakistani football team has formally welcomed Trishan Patel, a British football coach of Indian descent, as an assistant coach and performance analyst.

Patel joined the team’s camp in Islamabad in preparation for their final two FIFA World Cup Qualifiers matches against Saudi Arabia and Tajikistan.

Patel offers an extensive coaching background and expertise from his prior remote work with the team. He has collaborated with numerous institutions, groups, and schools around England, including well-known teams like Liverpool and Luton Town.

The Pakistan Football Federation used images of Patel wearing the national team’s uniform on its social media platforms to herald Patel’s arrival.

In 2006, Patel started working as a scouting coach for football. He became a Community Coach for Premier League team Luton Town in 2009 and stayed there until 2015. Patel, who holds a UEFA A license, became an assistant manager at Biggleswade United in 2019.

He has also been associated with Berkhamsted and worked as an international academy coach for Liverpool.

Pakistan’s next FIFA World Cup qualifier is set for June 6 in Islamabad against Saudi Arabia, one of the biggest countries in the area. Then, on June 7, they will play their final encounter in Tajikistan.
