Due to K-Electric’s maintenance work at one of its grid stations, the Hub Dam’s water delivery would be interrupted on Saturday and Sunday, February 24 and 25, according to the Karachi Water and Sewerage Corporation (KW&SC).
The Valika Grid Station will undergo electrical repair on February 24 and 25, according to a statement from the KW&SC.
The Valika Grid will totally shut down as a result, and all feeder stations of the pumping station and filter plant will not receive electricity during the maintenance.
The maintenance will begin on February 24 at 8 a.m. and run through 6 p.m. the following day; the closure will last 48 hours in total.
According to the KW&SC statement, the city will experience a 200 million gallon water shortage from the Hub Dam overall as a result of the electrical maintenance work.
In order to prevent any inconvenience, the KW&SC asked residents to save water and use it sparingly.
