The leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Nawaz Sharif, will leave on Monday on a five-day “personal visit” to China.
Insiders in the party said that Nawaz is paying a personal visit and would be getting checked up medically.
According to the reports, the former premier will also attend discussions about Punjab’s development projects.
According to the reports, the former prime is also expected to meet with Chinese business owners.
Ishaq Dar, the foreign minister, will travel with Nawaz on his five-day tour.
There are no more details known about the PML-N leaders’ visit.
Nawaz Sharif’s return to Pakistan in 2023 will be his first overseas travel since he ended his four-year self-imposed exile in London.
The PML-N leader’s medical records indicated that he required immediate treatment, and in November 2019, the Lahore High Court granted him permission to go overseas for medical reasons.
He traveled to the UK and remained in London after receiving clearance from the LHC for medical treatment.
