Bakhtiyor Saidov, the foreign minister of the Republic of Uzbekistan, landed in Islamabad on Wednesday for a two-day formal visit.
Aizaz Khan, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ Director General (Central Asia & ECO), welcomed and cordially received the Uzbek foreign minister upon his arrival.
According to a Foreign Office spokesperson, FM Saidov will meet with Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif during the visit and have in-depth discussions with Deputy PM and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar about a wide range of bilateral issues of mutual interest, with a special focus on trade and connectivity.
It is anticipated that the Republic of Uzbekistan’s foreign minister’s visit will give the cordial relations between the two nations new life.
