Just two days after news broke of her split from country singer Keith Urban, Nicole Kidman was spotted out and about in Nashville.
The Oscar-winning actor was photographed hiking on Wednesday, October 1, with her sister, Antonia Kidman. The outing marked her first public appearance since filing for divorce.
In photos published by the Daily Mail, Kidman appeared relaxed and in good spirits. She sported a grey melange baseball cap, a matching zip-up jacket, black leggings, and oversized sunglasses as she enjoyed the outdoor walk.
The sighting comes after Kidman officially filed for divorce from Urban on September 30, citing irreconcilable differences, according to court documents obtained by PEOPLE. The couple, who married in June 2006, share two daughters: Sunday Rose, 17, and Faith Margaret, 14.
An insider told PEOPLE, “Nicole’s sister [Antonia] has been a rock, and the entire Kidman family has come together to support one another.” They added, “She didn’t want this. She has been fighting to save the marriage.”
