Pakistan Army Reaffirms Support for Kashmiris on Youm e Istehsal

ISLAMABAD – On the occasion of Youm-e-Istehsal (August 5), Pakistan’s top military leaders have once again expressed strong support for the people of Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).

A statement from the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) said that Army Chief General Asim Munir, along with the heads of Pakistan Navy, Air Force, and the Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, stand united with the brave people of Kashmir.

The Pakistan Armed Forces fully back the Kashmiris’ right to self-determination, which is supported by international law and UN resolutions.

ISPR strongly condemned India’s actions in Kashmir, calling them a violation of international rules. It said that Indian forces are using military power, violating human rights, and changing the population structure in the region. These actions are causing serious harm and are a major concern.

The statement also said that India’s aggressive attitude and harsh policies are making peace in the region more difficult and increasing the suffering of innocent people.

ISPR added, “There can be no lasting peace in South Asia without a fair and peaceful solution to the Kashmir issue, based on the wishes of the Kashmiri people and UN decisions.”

Lastly, the Pakistan Army paid tribute to the martyrs of Kashmir and promised to keep supporting the Kashmiri people in their struggle for freedom.
