Pakistan China Boost Military Ties in High-Level Beijing Talks

Pakistan and China Reaffirm Strong Military Partnership in Beijing Visit

BEIJING – Pakistan’s Army Chief, Field Marshal Asim Munir, visited China and held important meetings with top Chinese leaders. The visit showed the strong friendship and close military ties between the two countries.

According to the Pakistan Army’s media wing (ISPR), the Army Chief met with Chinese Vice President Han Zheng and Foreign Minister Wang Yi. They talked about world politics, the China-Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC), and how both countries can work together to face common challenges.

Both sides were happy with their close relationship. They agreed to continue working together for peace, equality, and regional stability. The Chinese leaders praised the Pakistan Army for its role in keeping peace in South Asia.

During the visit, Field Marshal Asim Munir also met with Chinese military leaders, including General Zhang Youxia, General Chen Hui, and Lieutenant General Cai Zhai Jun. At the PLA Army Headquarters, he received a guard of honour, showing respect for Pakistan’s military.

These meetings focused on defense cooperation, fighting terrorism, joint training, and modernizing military systems. Both sides also talked about improving teamwork and dealing with new threats together.

China’s military leaders expressed full trust in their partnership with Pakistan and appreciated its role in regional peace. Field Marshal Munir thanked China for its continued support and promised to strengthen military ties even more.

The visit highlights the deepening relationship between Pakistan and China, especially in defense and security matters.

Earlier Meeting in Islamabad

Earlier, a Chinese Air Force team led by Lt. General Wang Gang visited Pakistan. They met with Pakistan Air Chief Marshal Zaheer Ahmed Baber Sidhu in Islamabad.

They discussed regional security and ways to improve cooperation in air defense and training. The Air Chief welcomed the Chinese delegation and said the friendship between the two countries is based on trust, common goals, and a shared wish for peace in the region.
