supremo of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) According to Nawaz Sharif, India’s economic success can be attributed to its adoption of Pakistan’s policies.
Nawaz stated his party was cognizant of the nation’s economic issues during his speech to the Lahore Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI). Additionally, he gave the businesspeople his word that the PML-N would continue to heed their counsel.
“Our policies were adopted by the Indian business community and they led to economic success,” declared Nawaz, who is spearheading his party’s campaign after returning to Pakistan.
After living in self-imposed exile in London for four years, Nawaz returned to Pakistan on October 21. Ahead of the polls on February 8, he has been busy energizing the supporters of his party and interacting with various corporate and political figures.
During his tenure as prime minister from 2013 to 2017, Pakistan was ranked as the 24th best economy and had controlled the dollar for four years at 104, according to the PML-N supremo, who was speaking to traders in Lahore for the first time.

The three-time prime minister asserted, “The dollar would have been at 40 or 50 if our development [model] and policies were continued.”
He went on to say that Pakistan became seen as the Islamic countries’ bulwark after his government tested nuclear weapons in 1998.
“We have hit this axe on our own feet and these bad situations have arisen because of our own decisions,” Nawaz remarked. “Today, the situation has become such that we are reliant on [them for] $1 billion.”
Nawaz reminded the business people that the policy rate was 6.5%, recalling his period. He continued by saying that the rate was 22% today and questioned how anyone could conduct business in such a setting.
“The rupee, the economy, and the entire system suffered a disaster because we ourselves harmed our Parliament and prime ministers and then the country was handed over to whom,” the PML-N leader stated.
