Pakistan Sends More Humanitarian Aid to Gaza Under PM Shehbaz Sharif’s Direction

In a continued effort to support civilians affected by the ongoing conflict in Gaza, Pakistan has dispatched another shipment of vital humanitarian aid. Acting under the direct guidance of Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif, the National Disaster Management Authority (NDMA) coordinated closely with relevant partners to ensure the smooth delivery of this consignment.

The latest batch includes essential supplies such as dry rations packs, ready-to-eat meals (MREs), and medicines to help those in urgent need.

A formal ceremony marked the dispatch, attended by senior officials from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, representatives from the NDMA, and the Ambassador of Palestine to Pakistan.

Since October 2023, Pakistan has sent a total of 1,815 tons of relief goods to Gaza, focusing especially on aiding women and children caught in the conflict.

In a statement, the Foreign Office reiterated Pakistan’s strong support for establishing a sovereign, independent Palestinian state based on pre-1967 borders, with Al-Quds Al-Sharif as its capital, consistent with UN Security Council resolutions.

The NDMA continues to play a vital role, working alongside international partners to ensure that aid reaches those who need it as quickly and effectively as possible.
