The attendees received an update on professional issues, problems facing the country’s security, and the steps being taken to combat both conventional and unconventional security threats.
Taking a comprehensive approach to the current counterterrorism efforts, the forum decided to use all available state resources to deal with terrorists, as well as those who assist and abet them, who are seeking to destabilize Pakistan at the request of foreign entities.
In response to the evolving threat paradigm, the army commander expressed pleasure with formations’ excellent standards of training and morale, as well as their operational readiness.
The forum reaffirmed Pakistan’s principled position in favor of the two-state solution, based on pre-1967 boundaries with Al Quds Al Sharif as the capital of Palestine, and offered unwavering diplomatic, moral, and political support to the people of Palestine.
The delegates also denounced the ongoing breaches of human rights by Indian forces and their worries over the ongoing repression of Kashmiris in Indian Illegally Occupied Jammu and Kashmir (IIOJK).
The symposium restated Pakistan’s commitment to supporting Kashmiris on a political, diplomatic, and moral level. Participants emphasized that, in accordance with the pertinent UNSC resolution, granting the people of Kashmir the right to self-determination is the only way to resolve the situation.
The forum decided to fully back the government’s efforts in a number of areas to promote a sustainable economic recovery and stop illicit activities such as hoarding, stealing electricity, smuggling, and the adoption of a one-document regime. Other initiatives included the dignified repatriation of illegal foreigners and the protection of the national database.
