Pakistan Remains Unbeaten to Clinch Commonwealth Beach Handball Title

The Pakistan national team produced a flawless performance throughout the Commonwealth Beach Handball Championship, remaining unbeaten in all seven of their matches.

In a commanding final, Pakistan secured a 2–0 victory over Sri Lanka, winning the sets 26–18 and 28–18, and cementing their dominance in the tournament.

Their campaign began with a strong 2–0 win over arch-rivals India, taking the sets 26–9 and 34–12. Pakistan then continued their winning streak in the group stage, defeating Sri Lanka, the Maldives, South Africa, and Bangladesh. They carried their momentum into the semi-finals, once again beating Bangladesh 2–0 to advance to the final.

Kashif Ali stood out with his exceptional performance, particularly in the thrilling 2–1 win against hosts Maldives. Key contributions also came from Muhammad Shahid Bashir and Ahmed Hassan Baig, whose leadership and tactical play were instrumental throughout the championship.

The Maldives finished second, defeating Bangladesh to claim the bronze medal.

This victory represents a major milestone for beach handball in Pakistan, highlighting the team’s growing strength and potential on the international stage.
