New Air Cargo Rates and Petrol Prices Announced in Pakistan
The government has increased air cargo charges and fuel prices, starting from July 1.
Changes in Air Cargo Charges:
Pet birds: The cost to send pet birds by air has gone up by 50%. It was Rs200 per kg, now it is Rs300 per kg.
Betel leaves: Charges have doubled from Rs 35 to Rs 70 per kg.
General cargo: The cost to send regular items has gone up 25%, from Rs100 to Rs125 per kg.
The new cargo rates also apply to pets like cats and dogs.
Petrol and Diesel Prices:
The petrol price has increased by Rs8.36 per litre, and is now Rs266.89 per litre.
Earlier, petrol was increased by Rs14.80 per litre.
High-speed diesel is now Rs272.98 per litre, after a Rs10.39 increase.
These changes were announced in official government notifications.
