Pakistan China Reaffirm Military Ties on PLA's 98th Anniversary

Pakistan Army and Chinese PLA Celebrate Strong Friendship

RAWALPINDI – Pakistan Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir has said that Pakistan and China are true brothers-in-arms. He made this statement during a ceremony held at General Headquarters (GHQ) to celebrate the 98th anniversary of the founding of China’s People’s Liberation Army (PLA).

The Chinese Ambassador to Pakistan, Mr. Jiang Zaidong, was the chief guest at the event, according to a press release by Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The event was also attended by Major General Wang Zhong, Chinese Defence Attaché, other officials from the Chinese Embassy, and senior officers from Pakistan’s Army, Navy, and Air Force.

General Munir warmly welcomed the Chinese guests and congratulated them on the PLA’s 98th founding anniversary. He praised the PLA’s important role in China’s defence, security, and development.

The Army Chief said that the relationship between Pakistan and China is very strong and special. He called it a “time-tested and trusted friendship” that stays firm even during changing global and regional situations.

He added that both countries share a deep bond of trust and support for each other, and this partnership is a great example of friendship and cooperation.

Speaking at the event, the Chinese Ambassador thanked General Munir for hosting the ceremony. He appreciated the Pakistan Army’s efforts in fighting terrorism and said that China fully supports its strategic partnership with Pakistan.
