Pakistan Slams Israeli Attack on Qatar Seeks UN Action

Pakistan Condemns Israeli Aggression in Qatar, Calls for UN Action

ISLAMABAD – Pakistan has strongly condemned Israel’s attack on Qatar, denouncing it as an unprovoked and unlawful act of aggression that violates international law and threatens regional stability.

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Ishaq Dar announced that Pakistan, along with Algeria and Somalia, has requested an emergency meeting of the UN Security Council to address the situation.

“Pakistan expresses its complete solidarity and firm support with the government and people of Qatar,” Dar wrote on his official X handle.

In a statement, the Foreign Office described the strike as a “blatant violation of Qatar’s sovereignty, the UN Charter, and international norms,” urging the international community to hold Israel accountable. It warned that such actions were part of Israel’s continued disregard for peace and security in the region.

“Pakistan will continue to stand shoulder to shoulder with the brotherly people and leadership of Qatar in defence of their sovereignty and security,” the statement added.

Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif also condemned the Israeli bombing in Doha, which targeted a residential area and put innocent civilians at risk.

“On behalf of the people and government of Pakistan, I strongly condemn the unlawful and heinous bombing in Doha by Israeli forces,” the prime minister said in a message on X.
