Elahi: Shehbaz embarrassed Nawaz

According to Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, the president of Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf, Shehbaz Sharif clasped hands with Nawaz Sharif before luring and humiliating him.

During his appearance in district courts here on Wednesday, Elahi made a casual statement to journalists, saying they would not allow Ladlas to steal the mandate that the people had given them.

He claimed that the electorate’s harsh rejection of the Ladlas was the nicest thing about the elections on February 8. Now that the delusion of Nawaz Sharif’s presence has faded, they are disguising their identities from the public. “Our electoral emblem was removed. He remarked, “Imran Khan’s popularity is fantastic, but neither we nor our polling agents were permitted to run election campaigns throughout the vote count. Despite the harassment PTI activists faced from searches and arrests, supporters shouted “long live Imran Khan.” He expressed gratitude to the public for awarding the PTI the most votes and seats. “The results were manipulated in the dark of night, even though our candidates had a clear majority,” he claimed.

In the principal secretary appointment case, Punjab Chaudhry Parvez Elahi, the former chief minister, was earlier granted bail by the Lahore High Court (LHC). Elahi was ordered by the court to provide Rs. 100,000 in surety bonds in order to be eligible for bail relief. The bail plea filed by Parvez Elahi was heard by the single bench consisting of Justice Shehram Sarwar Chaudhry.

The petitioner’s attorney contended in court that his client was the target of a lawsuit filed by the Anti-Corruption Establishment (ACE) Punjab, alleging that he appointed Muhammad Khan Bhatti as chief minister’s principal secretary in contravention of the law.

He said that before Parvez Elahi was appointed chief minister, the senior secretary’s appointment was announced.

In light of the fact that co-accused Muhammad Khan Bhatti had previously been released from custody by a judicial magistrate, he implored the court to allow his client bail.

In the meantime, Elahi and Muhammad Khan Bhatti were presented by the jail officials to Judge Zubair Shahzad Kiyani of the Accountability Court in relation to the Gujrat development projects issue.

The defense attorney claimed that the indictment proceedings should be postponed until clear copies of the challan were supplied during the process.

The court ordered the National Accountability Bureau to give the accused clear copies of the challan and postponed further proceedings until February 22. Parvez Elahi and Moonis Elahi were charged by the NAB with accepting over Rs1 billion in bribes through middlemen in over 200 Gujrat district development projects. It is important to note that because of her repeated absences, Moonis Elahi was already deemed a proclaimed offender in this case.

In addition, Chaudhry Parvez Elahi and other suspects were not indicted in the Punjab Assembly illegal appointments case until February 22 by an anti-corruption court.

Because one of the co-accused did not show up during the proceedings, the judge postponed the indictment. On the following hearing day, the court ordered Abdullah, the co-accused, to present his medical certificate. Parvez Elahi was accused of receiving kickbacks and making illegal appointments by the ACE Punjab, which had filed the case. It is allegedly the case that eligible applicants were passed over for jobs, while those without examinations were appointed. Elahi abused his position as chief minister at the time, according to the ACE, by swaying appointments after accepting payments.
