Pakistan Strengthens Ties with Germany and Belarus Through High-Level Talks
Islamabad – In a recent telephonic discussion, Pakistan and Germany reaffirmed their commitment to deepening bilateral cooperation across key sectors of mutual interest. Both leaders emphasized the importance of steady support and outlined strategies to enhance economic, diplomatic, and regional collaboration, aiming to bolster stability and development.
The conversation also touched on regional developments, with both sides expressing interest in maintaining open channels for geopolitical dialogue. This initiative aligns with Pakistan’s broader efforts to strengthen ties with countries worldwide, following recent discussions with Egypt, Algeria, and other members of the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC).
Expanding Opportunities with Belarus
In a related development, Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Belarusian Interior Minister Aleksandr Lukashenko in Islamabad, enabling skilled Pakistani professionals to work in Belarus. The agreement is expected to create new employment opportunities and deepen people-to-people connections between the two countries.
During the meeting, which followed a formal welcome ceremony for the Belarusian delegation, Shehbaz Sharif highlighted the steadily improving relations between Pakistan and Belarus, underpinned by mutual respect and growing cooperation. Both sides expressed a shared commitment to collaboration across trade, technology, education, and internal security sectors.
The MoU reflects a broader strategic goal: transforming diplomatic goodwill into practical partnerships that benefit both nations.
