Groundbreaking collaboration between Pakistani and Turkish production houses

Collaboration between Pakistani and Turkish production houses

The first installment of a gripping drama series about the life of the famous Muslim commander Selahaddin Eyyubi, who lived in the 12th century, debuted in Karachi thanks to a ground-breaking partnership between production companies in Pakistan and Turkey.

The Pakistani producers, according to Arab News, had a strong opinion, saying, “We have our real heroes; we don’t need supermen.” Two well-known Pakistani actors, Ayesha Omar and Humayun Saeed, are leading candidates for the forthcoming second season of the program.

There is a lot of excitement surrounding their impending arrival to the cast, which will bring their celebrity influence to the series’ developing story. With their remarkable performances, these talented performers promise to elevate the storytelling, making the second season an exciting prospect. Ayesha told Arab News, “It’s obvious that they had to start with Turkish actors.” “We are expected to work with them after our workshops and after learning Turkish.”

The actress went on to say that her mother is quite excited about the prospect of her being on the show. “My mother used to tell us [about Islamic history] since I was a small child because she was so interested in it. Her all-time favorite character was Selahaddin Eyyubi.Upon informing her that I intended to try out for this show, she exclaimed, “Oh my God, I can’t believe it.” The actor said, “It was like her dream come true.”

The producers said that once he finds a role who is “dynamic,” Humayun would feature in a few episodes of the next season. “It might involve not just myself but also other prominent performers from Pakistan. Fawad Khan, Adnan Siddiqui, and Hamza Ali Abbasi, said Humayun. “This series will go places, just as [Diriliş] Ertugrul aired everywhere internationally, whether it was Egypt, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Russia, Pakistan, or even India,” he said.

From the beginning, Humayun and Ayesha have been connected to the show. But as the former told it, Adnan Siddiqui’s astute suggestion—during a visit to Diriliş Ertugrul’s sets—was what gave rise to the revolutionary notion of forming a partnership with Turkiye for a joint production. The desire for viewers to watch and spread the news is one of the reasons the series is being screened [in Pakistan], according to Adnan. “Numerous channel owners are also present; they must be observing and assessing it.” We’ll see how things work out [about the series’ release in Pakistan] after our round-table meeting with them.

The first sultan of Egypt and Syria and the ancestor of the Ayyubid dynasty, Eyyubi (1138–1193), is profiled in the series for his extraordinary journey. A joint venture between Ansari and Shah Films from Pakistan and Akli Films from Turkey, the series was shot in Istanbul on a vast 200-acre set that belonged to co-producer Kashif Ansari. The show, which was first produced in Turkish, is scheduled to be dubbed into Urdu, English, and Arabic in order to appeal to a worldwide audience that is eager to learn more about Selahaddin Eyyubi’s epic story.
