Iman Ali reveals why she left Khalilur Rehman Qamar’s film

Iman Ali, a former model from Pakistan who is now an actor, recently made an appearance as a guest on a chat show hosted by Vasay Chaudhry, where she discussed her selective taste in screenplays. In response to a question from the audience about a project she wished she had completed, Iman mentioned the popular drama Dillagi from 2016.

“I wish I had done that script…starring Humayun Saeed and Mehwish Hayat, Dillagi,” Iman thought to himself. “I really liked Dillagi’s script but the project was scheduled to shoot summer,” the actor revealed, explaining why she decided against taking on the role.

Speaking about her seasonal preferences, Iman said in a lighthearted way that she prefers to work in the fall and spring since she believes these times are best for bringing her characters to life. She questioned, “If I accept but can’t perform well, then what’s the point?”

Iman went on to say that although she sees wonderful scripts, she ultimately has extremely specific tastes. “I do get approached with good scripts, which is why I remember Dillagi,” the woman remarked. There was yet another one, directed by someone I would not want to collaborate with.

Chaudhry identified the concerned director as Khalilur Rehman Qamar. In the same interview, Iman said that she had opted out of the project freely, without being fired, just three days prior to the start of filming for a movie written by Qamar.

“My choice was not influenced by Nadeem. Three days prior to the planned filming, I departed from the project,” the model said. The script didn’t appeal to me. This became very clear to me while we were reading, and I made several suggestions, but they wouldn’t alter a single word without getting permission from Khalilur Rehman Qamar.

The celebrity stated that even director Nadeem Baig did not disagree with her choice, even though she did not specifically identify the title of the movie. Her main excuse for refusing was that she didn’t agree with the movie’s plot. In addition, Iman declared her intention to never participate in a play or movie directed by Qamar.

During a lighthearted section on the show, Iman was asked which celebrity companion she would prefer—Hamza Ali Abbasi or Fawad Khan—if she were to ride on the opulent Titanic with two VIP passes. She clarified, “He’s my friend.”
