During an intelligence-based operation on Saturday in the Karak area of Khyber-Pakhtunkhwa, security forces killed three terrorists and injured four others, the military said in a statement.
Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) reports that during the operation, there was a gunfight that resulted in the terrorists’ deaths.
It claimed that the terrorists who were murdered had also left behind guns, ammo, and explosives. The terrorists were still actively engaged in a number of terrorist attacks in the region.
According to the ISPR, a sanitization effort is underway to get rid of any further terrorists that may be present.
It went on to say that the people in the area welcomed the operation and gave security forces their whole support in putting an end to the threat posed by terrorists.
