In Pakistan, there are disruptions to internet services

Users from all around Pakistan reported slow internet speeds and outages on Tuesday due to disruptions in the country’s internet services.

According to the outage tracking website Downdetector.com, Pakistan Telecommunication Company Ltd (PTCL), Nayatel, and Transworld Home were among the areas of the nation hit by disruptions in internet services.

Customers mostly reported PTCL service outages in Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi, while Transworld Home had comparable issues in Peshawar, Lahore, Karachi, and Rawalpindi. Problems with Nayatel were mostly noted by residents of Okara, neighboring Rawalpindi, and Lahore.

Customers of Transworld Home received an email stating that there was a “unexpected nationwide outage” that affected internet services in Pakistan.

The firm apologized for any difficulty caused and informed consumers that an investigation was underway. It also promised to restore services as soon as the outage was fixed.

As reports of election tampering during the general elections on February 8 continue to surface, access to the social media behemoth X has been restricted since February 17.

Ban was put in place after Liaquat Ali Chattha, a Rawalpindi poll official, made public claims that he had altered election results in his district. On social media, it quickly became viral.
