Modern HAIDER tank unveiled by COAS at Heavy Industries Taxila

General Syed Asim Munir, the Chief of Army Staff (COAS), presided over the HAIDER tank (Pilot Project) deployment ceremony on Wednesday at the Heavy Industries Taxila (HIT), according to the military.

Pakistan’s attempts to indigenize its defense sector have reached a major milestone with the ceremony conducted at the prominent military complex, according to a statement released by the Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

Important guests attended the occasion, including the People’s Republic of China’s ambassador, representatives from the Chinese state corporation NORINCO, senior officials from the Pakistan Army and Government of Pakistan, and a number of military and civilian officials from HIT.

HIT proudly introduced the HAIDER tank during the event, which is the result of joint efforts between NORINCO China and many Pakistani enterprises. The ISPR claims that the HAIDER tank, with its state-of-the-art technology and exceptional firepower, armor, and maneuverability, marks a significant advancement in tank fighting capabilities.

Constructed with cutting-edge sophisticated technology, HAIDER is proof of Pakistan’s defense industry’s unwavering quest of excellence in defense innovation. During his visits to other production sites in the Heavy Industrial Complex, the COAS expressed his gratitude to the officers and workers for their unwavering devotion in achieving yet another technological milestone.
