PML-N supremo will arrive in Pakistan on October 21, after 4 years

Adopting Pakistani policies helped India achieve economic success

Nawaz Sharif, the leader of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), has arrived in Dubai, United Arab Emirates (UAE), in preparation for his eagerly awaited trip back to Pakistan.

The three-time prime minister will return to Pakistan on October 21 (Saturday), after living in self-exile in London for four years after being granted permission to leave despite having been given a prison term.

After a few hours of delay due to being held up in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia, for a crucial meeting, sources told Geo News that he had now arrived. At the Dubai airport, upon his arrival, he was given “special protocol.”

Nawaz will spend his two days in Dubai with a small group of people before departing for Pakistan on Saturday morning, traveling first to Islamabad and then to Lahore.

About 150 people will go with Nawaz on his chartered flight back to Pakistan. For Pakistan’s return, journalists, lawmakers, and activists have purchased tickets.

After receiving protective bail in two graft cases and having his arrest warrant in the Toshakhana case suspended by an accountability court, the former prime minister was able to travel home without incident earlier in the day.

On November 19, 2019, the three-time premier arrived in London after developing a serious illness while incarcerated.

The family claimed that the Imran Khan-led administration and his “backers” had attempted to assassinate Nawaz. He had four months of care at the Harley Street Clinic and London Bridge Hospital.

Doctors in Pakistan advised Nawaz to travel abroad for treatment after discovering that he had an immune system problem because his condition was not improving after receiving the best care possible in the nation.

Nawaz was permanently banned in 2017 by the Supreme Court for failing to declare a payable salary. He has been living in self-imposed exile in London since November 2019 due to health concerns.
