Potential customers are happy that the Indus Motor Company (IMC) has agreed to reduce the cost of its imported automobiles. The business announced updated Retail Selling Prices (RSPs) for its Fully Built-Up (CBU) passenger line-up and reaffirmed its commitment to customer satisfaction.
Two of IMC’s cars will see considerable price reductions under the amended pricing:
- The price of the Toyota Camry 2.5L Hybrid has dropped significantly from Rs. 53,859,000 to Rs. 29,990,000, a savings of Rs. 23,869,000.
- In contrast, the Land Cruiser 300 ZX will now retail for Rs. 120,000,000, a reduction of Rs. 36,829,000 from its previous price of Rs. 156,829,000.
IMC made it clear that these estimates are tentative and would be confirmed at the time of delivery only. All orders that are invoiced on or after March 12, 2024, will be subject to the updated pricing. These are the ex-factory pricing per unit for Karachi, and they include dealer’s fee, sales tax, Federal Excise Duty (FED), and Continuously Variable Transmission (CVT).
While IMC hasn’t offered a clear explanation for the abrupt price reduction, considering the large cut, customers will probably applaud the action. Because of the erratic state of the economy, Pakistan’s automobile sector is now navigating through uncertain times. Recently, Kia Pakistan lowered the price of its crossover SUV, the Kia Sportage, whereas Pakistan Suzuki announced an increase in automobile pricing. Customers now have additional alternatives to weigh after Toyota announced lower prices for its CBU lineup.
It is hoped that the incoming administration would act decisively to boost the auto sector, maintain price stability, and lower the cost of automobiles for the average person. While the sector awaits stability, customers are nevertheless hopeful about a better future.
