Pakistan Rejects Indias Nuclear Claims Stresses Restraint

Pakistan Rejects India’s Allegations, Reaffirms Responsible Nuclear Stance

In response to recent comments from India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA), Pakistan’s Foreign Office has firmly rejected the accusations, describing them as immature and misleading.

A Foreign Office spokesperson highlighted that Pakistan, as a responsible nuclear power with a strong command and control system fully under civilian oversight, has consistently shown discipline and restraint on sensitive matters.

Addressing the remarks attributed to Pakistan’s Chief of Army Staff, Syed Asim Munir, the spokesperson criticized India for distorting facts and misinterpreting statements. Pakistan dismissed India’s claims of nuclear blackmail as a “misleading and self-serving narrative.”

“Pakistan strongly opposes any use or threat of force. India’s aggressive posturing often leads to baseless allegations that lack rationality,” the spokesperson said.

The statement also emphasized Pakistan’s ongoing counterterrorism efforts, noting that its security forces remain the frontline defense against terrorism. The spokesperson called India’s insinuations irresponsible and without any factual basis.

Furthermore, Pakistan expressed concern over India’s references to third countries in its statements, describing these as futile attempts to exert pressure and a sign of diplomatic insecurity.

Reaffirming its commitment to responsible international conduct, Pakistan stated it would continue to act with restraint, contrasting India’s “belligerent and jingoistic” approach.

However, the spokesperson warned that any Indian aggression or violation of Pakistan’s sovereignty would be met with an immediate and proportionate response, adding, “The responsibility for any escalation will lie squarely with the Indian leadership.”
